In recent weeks, LG, the consumer electronics company, has been running a fun 'moblogger' competition where people all around Europe get to send in portrait photos taken on their phones, along with a brief description of why that person (or those people) reflect the lifestyle or character of their country. The ten best piccies, when the competition ends on Nov 30th, will win the new LG Viewty camera phone and get their phone bills paid for two months up to a maximum of 50 euros (IMO, pretty stingy, but still).

Anyway, check out the site here. It seems to be going down pretty well and a lot of people are getting stuck in — three or four new piccies were uploaded in the time it took me to write this post (although this one, taken in Covent Garden, London, is my favourite so far — very British). They've also supplied some code linking to the latest upload to allow people to spread the word (see below).

Anyway, there must be an opp to do something similar in the cards space, as the three things people always have on them when they're out is keys, a mobile and a wallet — containing cards. I'm thinking a campaign where people take photos of themselves buying ridiculous things with their cards: 'The most absurd purchase of 2008'. Could be quite fun.
